During the month of August, we are going to take each Saturday, beginning August 8th, to serve someone.
Why
Jesus says when you bless even the least of these it’s the same thing as doing it to Him. We are taking each Saturday beginning on August 8th to be the hands and feet of Jesus to our community. Serving others is not only a great way to worship God but it is also a great way to remember how blessed we are. Truly it is more of a blessing to give than to receive. Give it a try. You’ll be amazed at how God will use you to make a difference in others.
Ideas
There are so many ways to bless others. It can be as simple as a kind text message, a call to offer prayer, or giving a single mom free babysitting. Pray and ask God to help you be creative on how you can show love, meet a need, and bless others by showing the love of Jesus.

Below are some ideas to get you started but feel free to be creative and think about how you can make a difference in your own unique way.
Text three people
Pick three people who have had a positive impact on your life and let them know.
Your Next Cup Is On Me
Venmo someone $5 and tell them their next coffee is on you.
Cut grass for your neighbor
Bless your neighbor. Be sure to say a pray for their family while you serve.
Mail a Letter
There's nothing like receiving a letter of appreciation. Possible ideas- missionaries, deployed military personnel, government officials.
Stuff the Bus
Partner with one of our city's local school outreach programs.
Donate School Supplies
Want to help a family in need? We can get you connected. Bring your donation to RLC and we'll take it from there.
Themed Gift Basket Drop Off
Drop a basket at someone's front door. Family Night- board game, hot chocolate packets, popcorn bags. Basket of Sunshine- basket full of yellow themed gifts. Movie Night- $5 gift card to Apple Movies, popcorn, candy The possibilities are endless.
Nursing Home Visit
Some nursing homes are open to visitors on the outside of their facilities. Call a local nursing home and see how you can serve.
Donate Food to Hotel, Inc
Canned foods, non-perishables, toiletries, etc.
Take snacks to Medical Clinic Employees
Medical personnel employees are essential and they see people every day who are struggling. Send blessings and the love of God their way.
Spontaneous Love to Grocery Store Employees
Every grocery story employee is essential. Take 20 minutes and "blitz" your favorite grocery store by stopping every employee you see and saying thank you.
Support a Local Business
So many local businesses are struggling. Stop in and make sure you know you support them. Also, buy gift cards then bless someone else with them!
